One of the many blessings we experience at Christ’s Hands is the opportunity to work with members of the Kingdom of God. Over the years, members of God’s Family have shared their time, talents and resources to enhance the work that is done through Christ’s Hands. This fall, 2016, local artist Bob Howard started a new project to help create a warm and inviting space on the porch of the building. This is an enormous benefit to welcoming volunteers and clients alike. His first project was to incorporate our new logo into a design that would be a showcase to the community as its location can be easily viewed from HWY 38 and the downtown area. As you can see in these pictures, the stairs to the main office entrance had aged over time and needed a face lift. This new feature to the entrance has been well received by the community and our volunteers. Bob’s next project was to create a scene depicting the ministry done at Christ’s Hands on the porch itself. We are very thankful for his talent and heart of service.

Today I stepped back from the Front Porch Mural and realized I was maybe a day away from completing panel three of four. The funny thing is I was somewhat sad, because it has been such a blessing to be able to paint it. From the first days of layout last winter to now the Dog Days of August I have felt the Lords presence and guidance in the work. I have received help from a number of visiting groups this summer. It gave me a chance to get to know them and share my work. The fourth and final panel toward the highway will start late August and I hope to be finished by cold weather. Prayers for me as I work. Stop by and look it over. Know that God is good and is working in your life daily.
